Finding Our Way

I'm so proud to share my new body of work opening at Edge Gallery. Earlier this year I was accepted as a member and my new show opens this coming Friday, August 21, 6-8pm.

This has certainly been a trying year and my work reflects that. I've always enjoyed myths and other classic stories, and the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur kept tugging at me. I've reinterpreted the story so that instead of being a looming terror, my little minotaurs represent things (people and events) outside of our control. I am so thrilled that this series includes traditional paintings as well as cut-out figures, a mobile and a found object installation.

If you are avoiding crowds (like I am), we can make an evening appointment so you can enjoy the exhibit without social distancing concerns. Also, I'll post a virtual tour after opening night.

• Edge is located at 6851 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood, just west of Casa Bonita.
• The show runs August 21 - September 6.
• Gallery hours are Fridays 6-8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 1-4pm.
